Moyo District is ranked second in the whole country after Jinja District in health performance. The selection was based on the following criteria.
Moyo District has also developed an efficient Drug Revolving Fund system; The DDHS purchases the drugs from National Drug Authority (NDA) and the lower unit purchase the drugs from the DDHS. The system saves time and financial resources.

Moyo District has also been prompt in disease surveillance. This system has been recommended by the Ministry of Health has the best practice on drug purchase.

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
Moyo is located in the West Nile region of Uganda. The Nile River forms its southern and eastern border, Sudan its northern border, and Arua and Yumbe districts its western border.

AGRICULTURE
A large majority [90%] of Moyo’s population is involved in agricultural activities, with 86.6% of the population involved in some form of subsistence production.

INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Mobile Telephone Network (MTN) is the only existent telephone provider in the district and further still it does not get to certain rural areas in the district.
